just add water, instant grandma

well, the household dynamic has changed here...my almost step-daughter has moved in with her 3 & 4 year olds...i now live in my office full-time...lol...so do the cats..the dogs (traitors that they are) have decided they like my step-daughter more than they like me...they'll pay attention to me, when she's not around but "poof" if she steps foot in the room they're gone....and i raised them from pups...serious bummer...the older of the two is our watch dog...he doesn't like anyone but family....he rolls on his back to get his tummy scritched by her...hell of a watch dog he is.
Having little people back in the house at my age is like culture shock...the noise level is incredible...and so are the questions...and so is having to dodge the cats as they try to make the run between food/litter boxes and the office and bedroom which are like homeplate in a particularily ruleless baseball game...sure does keep me on my toes, tho...haven't felt this alive in a long while, guess it's good for me...we'll see how it goes...Gods bless the children...at least i'm never bored...<smile>
